THE START
Inpeddo is a skate brand that was founded in 2008 by a couple of ambitious, student-aged skaters from northern Germany. Straight out of the skate scene, so to speak! Their goal was to build something of their own and share their love of skateboarding with the people around them.
The name “Inpeddo” stands for the concept of having something “up your sleeve”, meaning that you always have an ace up your sleeve. But the old-fashioned meaning refers more to having something in your heart. That applies better to Inpeddo. Skateboarding by skaters for skaters.
THE DEVELOPMENT
A lot has happened at Inpeddo since then, the team has expanded, the head office has a new location and the prospects look bright! The slogan “Berlin based Europe raised” describes well how Inpeddo skateboards have made the rounds in the past years. For some time now, the home base has been Berlin and is represented by young talented team riders like Nanek Jeschke and Nile Bart-Williams. A few other team riders spread all over Germany create a great atmosphere on the skateboarding grounds.
Over time, the Inpeddo brand has established itself as a permanent fixture in the European skate scene. It wouldn’t have come this far without the mutual support between the brand and European team riders. Inpeddo is also presented in the Netherlands and Belgium. The Inpeddo team has always been a priority and has now grown beyond Europe. Another notable team rider is Jose Cantillana from Chile. If you haven’t seen him skate yet, you shouldn’t miss it!

Last year, a team meeting took place in Berlin, where almost the whole Inpeddo team (including Jose) met to skate the capital’s spots together.

Inpeddo ist eine Skatemarke, die im Jahr 2008 von ein paar ambitionierten, norddeutschen Skatern im Studentenalter gegründet wurde. Quasi direkt aus der Skateszene! Ihr Ziel war es, etwas Eigenes aufzubauen und ihre Liebe zum Skateboarding mit den Leuten drumherum zu teilen.
Der Name “Inpeddo” steht für das Konzept, etwas “in petto” zu haben, was bedeutet, dass man immer ein Ass im Ärmel hat. Die altmodische Bedeutung bezieht sich aber eher darauf, etwas im Herzen zu tragen. Das trifft auf Inpeddo besser zu. Skateboarding von Skatern für Skater:innen.
DIE ENTWICKLUNG
Seitdem ist bei Inpeddo viel passiert, das Team wurde ausgebaut, die Zentrale hat einen neuen Standort und die Perspektiven sehen rosig aus! Der Slogan “Berlin based Europe raised” beschreibt gut, wie Inpeddo Skateboards in den vergangenen Jahren die Runde gemacht haben. Seit einiger Zeit ist die Home-Base Berlin und wird von jungen talentierten Teamfahrern wie Nanek Jeschke und Nile Bart-Williams vertreten wird. Einige weitere Teamfahrer sorgen verteilt in ganz Deutschland für Stimmung auf den Skateplätzen.
Über die Zeit hat sich die Marke Inpeddo zu einer festen Größe in der europäischen Skate-Szene etabliert. So weit wäre es nicht ohne den gegenseitigen Support zwischen der Marke und europäischen Teamfahrer/innen gekommen. Auch in den Niederlande und Belgien wird Inpeddo präsentiert. Das Inpeddo-Team hatte stets Priorität und ist mittlerweile über Europa hinaus gewachsen. Ein weiterer bemerkenswerter Teamfahrer ist Jose Cantillana aus Chile. Wer ihn noch nicht Skaten gesehen hat, sollte sich das nicht entgehen lassen!
STATUS QUO
Letztes Jahr fand ein Team-Meeting in Berlin statt, bei dem sich fast das ganze Inpeddo-Team (inklusive Jose) getroffen hat, um zusammen die Skate-Spots der Hauptstadt unsicher zu machen.
Inpeddo skateboards can be bought in the usual biggest German skate shops, but most local shops also have Inpeddo products in their range. The brand has been growing constantly and under its own steam over the last 15 years and supplies reliable skateboards worldwide. Where Inpeddo currently stands becomes clear when you go into any well-stocked skate shop or keep your eyes open on the skateboarding scene from time to time.
This point of view is to be made clear this year through a new project, by giving something back to the skateboarding scene at the same time. It will be a few days yet, but it will be worth the wait!
